  • Google lists sunset dates as tentative months: the sunset can happen any time in that month, and dates can change.
  • Google aims to keep at most five major versions available, with major versions living around 12 months and minor versions around 10 months.
  • Upcoming versions are Google's projected release months. Google designates v26.3 as an optional release because it overlaps the holiday season.

How this tracker is maintained

Every date on this page is copied from the platform's own documentation page linked above each table, exactly as published, including Google's month-only sunset dates and Meta's "TBD". No date is estimated or inferred.

A version counts as sunset from its sunset date onwards. Where the platform only gives a month, the version counts as sunset once that month has ended, because the platform may switch it off on any day of that month.

TikTok is not listed: we did not find an official, dated version and sunset schedule for the TikTok API for Business. Other platforms are added only when they publish one.

FAQ

API versions, answered.

Requests to that version stop working. Google says requests to a sunset Google Ads API version fail on or after the sunset date, so integrations need to move to a newer version before then.

Google publishes tentative sunset months and says the sunset can happen any time in that month. This tracker therefore treats a version as sunset only once that month is over, and you should plan to upgrade before the month starts.

Meta's version page has separate tables for the Graph API and the Marketing API, and the same version number can expire on different dates in each. Ads integrations should follow the Marketing API table.

Not yet. We did not find an official, dated version and sunset schedule for the TikTok API for Business, and this tracker only lists dates a platform has published itself.
