How to See Google, Meta, and TikTok Ad Spend in One Report

TL;DR

  • No native ad platform will ever show you the other platforms' numbers. Your options are a manual spreadsheet, a Looker Studio build with paid connectors, or a tool that aggregates for you.
  • The spreadsheet costs you hours weekly and is outdated the moment you export it. Looker Studio works but is a real build with connector fees.
  • In Adstudio, a Quick Dashboard pulls Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, and GA4 into one live view — and you can ask the AI "how much did we spend across platforms this month?" for the blended number in seconds.

Here's a question that should be trivial and isn't: how much did we spend on ads last week — total?

If you run Google and Meta (and increasingly TikTok), you know the ritual. Open Google Ads, set the date range, note the number. Open Meta Ads Manager, match the date range — mind the time zone and the attribution setting. Open TikTok Ads Manager. Paste all three into a spreadsheet. Now do conversions, which each platform defines differently. By the time the sheet is done, the numbers have moved.

Why the platforms will never fix this

It's not an oversight. Google, Meta, and TikTok are competitors; each reports its own performance in its own attribution model, as favorably as honesty allows. Each platform claiming credit for the same conversion is a known artifact — the sum of platform-reported conversions routinely exceeds what your analytics or your revenue actually shows. Cross-platform truth is structurally a third-party job.

Option 1: The spreadsheet (honest, painful)

The manual export ritual works and costs nothing but time — typically 1–3 hours a week for a careful weekly report. Its real cost is subtler: the report is static. Any follow-up question ("okay, but which campaigns drove that spike?") means going back into the platforms. And the sheet silently rots — a renamed campaign or a new ad account breaks the formulas nobody remembers writing.

Option 2: Looker Studio (free-ish, a real build)

Google's Looker Studio can absolutely produce a blended dashboard. The Google Ads connector is free and native. Meta and TikTok, however, require third-party connectors (Supermetrics, Windsor.ai, Porter and others), which run roughly $30–150+/month depending on sources and accounts. Then you build: data blending, field mapping so "spend" means the same thing everywhere, and maintenance when a connector schema changes.

Right for you if you have someone who enjoys this kind of build and wants full layout control — agencies with a reporting specialist do great work here. Not right if the goal was to stop spending time on reporting plumbing.

Option 3: One live dashboard in Adstudio

Adstudio's approach: you've already connected Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, and GA4 to manage them — so the cross-platform report is just a view on data that's already there.

  1. Open your workspace → Dashboards.
  2. Add widgets, picking the platform and metric for each — Google spend next to Meta spend next to TikTok spend, blended with GA4 sessions or conversions if you want the analytics side of the story.
  3. The dashboard is live: open it Monday morning and it shows Monday morning's numbers. No exports, no refresh schedule.

When you don't need a whole dashboard, the AI assistant answers the blended question directly: "How much did we spend across Google and Meta in the last 30 days?" returns total spend, the per-platform split, and top campaigns. (The conversational cross-platform summary covers Google and Meta today; TikTok joins the blend in dashboards and its own reports.)

And when the number looks wrong, you're already in the tool that manages the campaigns — the follow-up question and the fix happen in the same place the report lives.

Adstudio starts at $19/month with a free plan for looking around; dashboards can also be shared with clients as live links, which is its own topic.

FAQ

Why don't my platform-reported conversions add up to my actual sales? Each platform attributes conversions independently — a user who clicked a Meta ad and a Google ad may be counted by both. Spend numbers are exact; conversion numbers are each platform's claim. For blended truth, anchor on your analytics or revenue data and treat platform conversions as directional.

Can GA4 do this for free? Partially. GA4 shows cost data for linked Google Ads automatically; Meta and TikTok cost data must be uploaded via the Data Import feature (manual CSVs or a paid pipeline). It's a real option if you're GA4-centric, but the import maintenance is the spreadsheet problem wearing a different hat.

What about currency and time zones? The classic silent report-breaker — Meta accounts in USD, Google in EUR, TikTok set to a different time zone. Whatever solution you pick, verify it normalizes currencies and respects each account's time zone before you trust week-over-week comparisons.

How do agencies handle this across many clients? Usually one dashboard template per client, duplicated. In Adstudio, each client is a workspace with its own connections and dashboards — the Business plan ($39/workspace/month) is built around that structure.
